Have you ever tried Burmese cuisine? If not, you are in luck!

Lahpet is one of London’s only Burmese restaurants… yes, you heard that right, Burmese! They are serving London’s foodies with authentic regional specialties with a hint of contemporary fusion. The wonderful owner and head chef, Dan and Zaw, both from Burmese heritage, launched their unique concept in Old Spitalfields Market a few years back before opening a permanent site in Shoreditch.

Now their spot is one of the most famous Burmese restaurant in London, with a menu including Coconut Chicken Noodles, Aubergine Curry and their signature Tea Leaf Salad. Sounds delicious right? Laphet have been featured in some of London’s top publications including The Evening Standard, Foodism, and TimeOut London

Lahpet’s Journey

Since launching in Hackney in 2017, Laphet has become a permanent Shoreditch attraction for Burmese cuisine seeking customers. A great fit for London’s multicultural crowd looking to explore cuisines from all over the world. 

Their signature speciality – the Tea Leaf Salad, which incorporates umami-packed pickled tea leaves into a unique texture-laden salad, has been named no.26 in Time Out’s 2017 ‘Top 100 Dishes in London’.
